Something to celebrate

To celebrate the unveiling of my new blog design, I'm doing my first giveaway. I've been reading the recently released book, They Were Still Born, which is a collection of deeply personal essays written by parents who have lost babies due to stillbirth. It is heart-wrenching, honest, and hopeful. I read a little bit of it every night, and each story touches and teaches. I want others to experience it, as well. Leave me a comment with a way to reach you by February 20, and a copy of the book will be yours.

A huge barrel full of gratitude to Franchesca Cox of Small Bird Studio for helping me create this design for my blog. She has the perfect blend of skill, patience, and creativity. If you want to update your blog, Franchesca also graciously gives a discount to bereaved parents. Thank you, Franchesca!

I have so many things to write about my journey....there are more posts coming soon, I promise! Thanks for walking the yellow brick road with me.

Love the new look Cynthia! I haven't read that book yet, but it's on my list. Also, I'm going to hopefully get some more books into our local library system through my new non-profit we are setting up (www.mikaylasgrace.com). If you have any other good ones you've read let me know!

I love the new blog look. And I love finding that book that really speaks to your heart and gives you honest-to-God, believable hope for the road forward. (I'm not entering the contest because I wouldn't want the book to go to me over a parent who has lost a child!)

Hi, I'm a new follower. I saw your blog at Small Bird Studio's blog :) It looks amazing! Franchesca is very talented! I have not read "They Were Still Born" but I am currently reading "I will Carry You" by Angie Smith which is also an amazing book :)

I just found your blog through the share website. I lost my son 3 weeks ago, and I am reading as much as I can (Owen was stillborn, or as the book says, still born). The nearest support group is 100 miles from me, but I found comfort in your blog (what I have read so far). I look forward to reading more. The book you are reading sounds helpful, too. I can be reached at cswaltney@gmail.com. Thank you for sharing your journey.

I recently found you through the Share site and I feel your pain with each post I read. Choosing to share your journey and grief is a beautiful way to honor your angels. I am the mother of 4 children......all angels in heaven. I would love to read "They Were Still Born"...you can reach me at: boatdockb2@hotmail.com. Thank you so much, and I look forward to your future posts!

Hi! I am not an official follower, but I do have you as a favorite and pop in every so often to read your wonderful posts. They speak to me every time I read them! You have an awesome talent for writing and sharing your thoughts & feelings. As for Facebook, I left there for a good month or so last summer after my first miscarriage and have recently "defriended" many people after my second because I couldn't bear the pain it was putting me through watching/reading about so many healthy and happy pregnancies and then to deal with all the guilty feelings it has brought to me for feeling that jealousy! Keep on posting! Thinking of you while you're on your healing journey! PS: Beautiful updates on your blog!

Okay, lady....I don't have that book. It sounded similar to something I had. Can I be added into the giveaway still? I think you know how to contact me if I win. :) ((hugs))
